To gain the Endurance Test title (ET), the dog, accompanied by a handler usually on foot or bicycle, must cover 20 kilometres. There are veterinary checks before, during and after the test and the dog must be able to pass a basic obedience exercise at the end to qualify.
Schedules providing all the details of official events are published in the monthly VicDog Gazette of the Victorian Canine Association Inc of which an owner/ handler must be a member to compete.
